Kontakt is the name of Eurocon 2012 which will be held on April 26-29 2012 in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Eurocon 2012 will also be 34th SFeraKon - the oldest convention in Croatia, held each year in Zagreb. We chose the name Kontakt to symbolize the bringing together of Croatian and European fandoms.

Ulmejutulabor

Ulmejutulabor on koht, kus on oodatud kõik, kes soovivad kirjutada ulmelisi lühijutte ja neid kommenteerida. Selleks, et saada jutulabori kirjutajaks on üks peamine reegel: sa ei tohi kirjutada selliste kirjavigadega, mille tõttu on loost arusaamine võimatu.

Kirjutamine

Lubatud on kõik ulmekirjanduse liigid (teadusulme (science fiction), imeulme (fantasy), õudusulme (horror)).
Kirjutame eesti keeles ja enne avalikustamist parandame ise oma kirjavead
Jutu maksimaalne pikkus on kuni 3000 sõna. Pikkade juttude puhul kasutame "Loe edasi" funktsiooni.
Igale jutul on sildid: kasutajanimi, teema, ulmeliik (sci-fi, fantasy, õudus)
Iga kuu esimesel esmaspäeval valime välja teema ja/või pealkirja, millest kirjutada. Teemasid ja pealkirju saab pakkuda lehekülje Nädalateema kommentaarides igal ajal.

Hindamine

Jutte saavad hinnata kõik jutulaborit külastavad lugejad ja kirjutajad
Kirjutajatel on teiste juttude kommenteerimine rangelt soovitatav
Hindamiseks on valida neli hinnangut: põnev, lõbus, huvitav, jama
Hinnanguid saab põhjendada kommentaariga.
Kommentaari kirjutades mõtle kuidas sinu kommentaar aitaks kirjutajal järgmine jutt paremini kirjutada

Näljamängude eestikeelne portaal alustas tegevust 2011 aasta aprillis. Lehelt võid leida informatsiooni ja uudiseid seoses Näljamängude triloogiaga. Hetkel teeb lehte üks inimene, kes annab endast parima, et kõik uudised saaksid siia lehele üles nii ruttu kui võimalik.

CHEESEBURGER BROWN is the cybernym of a compulsive storyteller and pulp science-fiction wallah based near the North Pole.

The major part of the work shown here was created for the purpose of bookjacket illustration but you will find a sprinkling of other things such as advertising, graphic novels and some purely personal work too. Although there are one or two old favourites the emphasis is naturally on more recent paintings. For the sake of convenience the pictures are divided into categories which I readily admit are somewhat arbitrary, so don’t be surprised if a horror image turns up in the SF category or vice versa.
There is also a gallery of images painted under pseudonym Edward Miller. Just to avoid confusion, Les Edwards and Edward Miller are the same person.

This listing was created in April 1994, following what seemed like the 900th posting of "what other authors should I read?" in the alt.fan.eddings newsgroup. Originally, the tone of the editorial comments was intended to be neutral, since this is a compilation of the recommendations of many people and not a list of one person's favorites. This policy has gradually eroded, and the perceptive reader can probably make some pretty good guesses as to which books are particularly favored by the FAQMaster. Do note, however, that there are quite a few books on this list that I either haven't read, tried and didn't like, or wouldn't recommend to an enemy, let alone a friend, so don't blame ME if you spot an author that you absolutely loathe. The Endicott Studio

The Endicott Studio for Mythic Arts was founded by Terri Windling in 1987. It is co-directed by Terri Windling and Midori Snyder, with creative contributions from an international circle of mythic artists and scholars.
The Endicott website first appeared online in the autumn of 1997. The site hosts the Journal of Mythic Arts (published quarterly), and the Endicott Scuttlebutt (containing book reviews, reading lists, and other resources for the mythic arts community). The site is edited and designed by Windling & Snyder, with the help of the Endicott web staff.

The best definition I can come up with for my writing was in a review that described it fantasy for people who don't normally read fantasy. I've taken to calling my writing "mythic fiction," because it's basically mainstream writing that incorporates elements of myth and folktale, rather than secondary world fantasy. I've written the latter, to be sure, and dabbled in science fiction and dark fantasy, but an overall view of my work will show that such stories are very much the exception, rather than the rule.
